LoC, 3rd preliminary round: Dinamo Zagreb hooked by Legia Warsaw, Ferencvaros has Slavia Prague
The day after AS Monaco’s victory against Sparta Prague (2-0), the first leg matches of the third preliminary round of the Champions League ended this Wednesday evening with three matches on the program. If Benfica Lisbon disposed of Spartak Moscow on Russian soil earlier in the evening (2-0), Dinamo Zagreb was hooked by Legia Warsaw on their lawn at Stadion Maksimir (1-1).
Bruno Petkovic opened the scoring on the hour mark before Ernest Muci equalized at the end of the game for the visitors of the day (82nd). In the other meeting scheduled for 8 p.m., Ferencvaros and Slavia Prague crossed swords at Groupama Arena in Budapest. Thanks to a self-defeating goal from Taras Kacharaba (44th) and a penalty from Igor Kharatin (50th), the Hungarian team won 2-0.
