Lisa Vanderpump compared her restructured cast to a pack of “wild animals” ahead of the season 9 premiere of her Bravo reality series.

“You could definitely tell they were locked in for a while and it was was like opening the cage and letting wild animals out, “she told DailyMailTV.

The next part of the spin-off” Real Housewives of Beverly Hills “will star veteran actors Katie Maloney-Schwartz, Tom Schwartz, Ariana Madix , Tom Sandoval, James Kennedy, Lala Kent and Scheana Shay.

Shay’s fiancé Brock Davies has also joined the cast alongside less experienced SURvers including Charli Burnett and Kennedy’s fiancée Raquel Leviss.

“[It’s] definitely a different time of year,” added the restaurant owner, who Owns and operates SUR, Pump, and TomTom in West Hollywood.

“I mean, they’ve evolved and some of them have matured – some of them not so much,” she quipped. “But they are our business and in some ways I’m more of a mentor to some of them … you know, it’s definitely moved forward.”

While viewers are likely to glimpse the new lives of Shay and Kent as mothers as well in Kennedy’s May proposal to Leviss, several OG stars will be noticeably absent.

The friends Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute were fired from “Vanderpump Rules” in June 2020 after the police of their former castmate Faith Stowers, the show’s only black star called about a crime she didn’t commit. Newcomers Max Boyens and Brett Caprioni also received the boot for racist tweets that resurfaced online.

At the time, Vanderpump announced that they were talking about the exodus that began with the Black Lives Matter movement rekindled in 2020 coincided, was “deeply sad”.

“Since we have experienced such devastating sadness affecting the world, we all have a role to play in building a friendlier, more equitable society,” she said in part in a statement . “My hope is that this generation will treat one another with respect and humanity and recognize that actions have and should have consequences.” In addition, it was announced in December that the couple Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright – who previously were her own Bravo spin-off called “Jax and Brittany Take Kentucky” – were deleted from the cast. Earlier this year, Season 8 newcomer Dayna Kathan confirmed that she would not be returning to the series either.
