Lazio continues to follow Borussia Dortmund’s winger Julian Brandt, even if a deal seems unlikely.

As the Italian media agency LazioNews24 reported today, the management of Biancocelesti is working hard to equip coach Maurizio Sarri with a new winger before the start of the season and is looking for a player who fits well into his 4-3-3 system.

One of Lazio’s top goals this summer was 25-year-old Brandt, who is under contract with the Bundesliga club until 2024. The club had talks with Dortmund about the player last month but those negotiations have failed but despite this, Lazio is still there to follow suit.

Brandt is currently dealing with Covid-19 but seems to have impressed new coach Marco Rose, leaving Lazio little chance of signing the German before the end of the month when the transfer window closes.

However, the Biancocelesti must first find a way to resolve their liquidity ratio problems, which means they will have to sell some players first.
