It was 7:24 am, this Thursday, October 28, when residents alerted the firefighters. A fire destroyed a manor at a place called Kersalaün in the town of Trédarzec (Côtes d´Armor). A few steps from Jaudy, the building, used as a second home, was unoccupied.

The firefighters estimate that they have succeeded in preserving 200 m² on a footprint estimated at around 1000 m² of buildings. On site, a firefighter said the temperature may have risen to 1000 ° C inside. “All that’s left are the walls,” said Fabrice Haudiquet, second in command of the Lannion gendarmerie company, who also went there with the Tréguier gendarmes.

At the end of the morning, the fire was contained and the firefighters began to lift the device which mobilized 36 firefighters from several rescue centers in the area and thirteen devices. Site surveillance will be maintained throughout the day.
