New Zealand golfer Lydia Ko says she still plans to compete in the Tokyo Olympics this year despite the rising cases of Covid-19.

According to Reuters, Ko spoke at the HSBC Women’s World Cup in Singapore next to the South Korean Inbee Park, which also announced the intention to take part in the tournament.

Ko’s title shot comes seventh in the world after she recently won her first event in three years at the Lotte Championship. </ The Olympic golf tournament will take place from July 29th to August 1st at the Kasumigaseki Country Club outside of Tokyo.
