A COURT has convicted former police officer Jonel Nuezca for the double homicide of a mother and a son in Tarlac last December 2020, said Valeriano de Leon, director of the Regional Police Office (PRO) – Central Luzon on Thursday, August 26, 2021. De Leon said the Tarlac Regional court announced its ruling Thursday morning, sentencing Nuezca to life imprisonment.

Nuezca was also instructed to pay the heirs of Sonia Gregorio the total amount of 476,280 pence and the heirs of Frank Anthony Gregorio P476,280. Nuezca shot the Gregorios at close range after a heated dispute over a right of way issue in Barangay Cabayaoasan in the city of Paniqui, Tarlac on December 20, 2020.
