It’s been 20 years since we saw Paul Walker, Vin Diesel and a handful of hellish Hot Rods hit the big screen in Fast &’s first film, Furious. To celebrate, Jacob & Co. has released a new watch dedicated to the popular multi-billion dollar franchise and its menacing rides.
The limited edition wrist candy is a reef of the high-tech, high-speed Twin Turbo Furious of the watchmaker who was provided with loads of outrageous references to the 2001 film. Think checkered flags and muscle cars that epitomize life a quarter mile at a time.
The watch is housed in a textured black carbon case that measures 57mm x 52mm and contains approximately 88 pieces, including a stainless steel bezel . The large sapphire crystal dial is adorned with images from The Fast and the Furious as well as the film’s logo. In front and in the middle is a “Starting Girl”, flanked by the two most famous muscle cars from the first film: Vin Diesel’s 1970 Dodge Charger is on the left, Paul Walker’s souped-up Toyota Supra on the right.
The intricate inner workings of the timepiece can also do compete with that of a high-octane street racer. It is equipped with two three-axis tourbillons that rotate in unison at lightning-fast speeds of 24, 48 and 180 seconds. This not only makes the watch visually striking, but also makes the watch highly precise: The multi-axis tourbillons compensate for the effects of gravity in every position of the wrist. Between the two escapements is a power reserve indicator in the style of a fuel track.
As if that weren’t enough, the timepiece offers another complication in the form of a decimal minute repeater. Like a melodic motor, it emits a chime every 10 minutes after the hours and before the minutes.
The motor is the JCFM05 caliber from Jacob & Co., a hand-wound movement with a breathtaking 832 components . The sapphire crystal case back, together with another logo, offers a great view of the movement in action.

Elsewhere, the watch is equipped with a column-wheel mono push-button chronograph to measure fast and wild sprints in your four-wheeler, along with a mechanical time reference display designed like a “pit board” from the racetrack.
“Our Twin Turbo Furious is a perfect match for the Fast & Furious franchise,” said Benjamin Arabov, CEO of Jacob & Co., in a statement. “Jacob & Co. has been in many important and successful partnerships, but we’ve never partnered with a company that fits our DNA so closely.”
The watch costs $ 580,000, is only nine Limited copies and will be released with the saga’s latest movie, F9, which hits screens June 25th.
