Investigators are working to determine the cause of a house fire in Brisbane after a second house went up in flames on the same street within two days.

A high-altitude wooden house was at the time the crews arrived well integrated and the fire was under control at 2:40 p.m.

It was the second house fire on Nudgee Road that week that significantly damaged another house on Sunday afternoon.

The fire department was on duty for over an hour to put out the fire, which caused considerable damage to the house.
