At the end of the afternoon, Sunday, August 29, the firefighters were called to help two people who were victims of a very serious road accident.

The accident occurred on the road to Prarion which is in the town of Saint-Gervais in Haute-Savoie.

For reasons not yet determined, the car, a 4×4 vehicle, plunged into the wooded ravine and fell 50 meters below.

The two occupants were ejected. Very quickly, the firefighters of Sallanches, Saint-Gervais and Passy with the SMUR arrived on site.

The Montagne des Sapeurs-Pompiers group as well as the ravine rescue team were also present. The two victims in cardio-respiratory arrest could not be resuscitated. They were 70 and 80 years old.
