Police violence was reported across Algiers on the first day of the new Hirak
The video of the arrest of Rachid Nekkaz and another, posted a few minutes later on Facebook, showing him passed out in a car, igniting the web and with it the Algerian streets.
After being arrested in the middle of a huge crowd of demonstrators on Monday, February 22, the former candidate for the Algerian presidency in 2019, Rachid Nekkaz, was attacked by the police, according to this video testimony of a driver who claims to take the opponent, seriously injured, in emergency at the hospital.
This information is added to the reports which are multiplying on the Facebook page of the National Committee for the Liberation of Detainees (CNLD) of the reincarceration of many opponents of the Algerian regime. Some, like Rachid Nekkaz, have barely come out of prison.
