The Harnett County Department of Health announced, in accordance with guidelines, that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommend people with immunodeficiency to get a third vaccination with either Pfizer-BioNTech – or to receive Moderna vaccine. The health department is currently setting dates for the third COVID-19 vaccination for immunocompromised people.

Public health officials announced that they will be scheduling dates for the third dose for the general public from September 20.

The health department offers vaccines by appointment. The health department is located at 307 W. Cornelius Harnett Blvd. in Lillington.

The COVID-19 vaccines are free for everyone, regardless of immigration or health insurance status.
