Expected in November on Disney, the Hawkeye series is finally revealed in an explosive first trailer that smells like Christmas. Jeremy Renner and Hailee Steinfeld share the starring role in this new series from Marvel Studios.
After WandaVision, Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki and What If …?, It’s now Hawkeye’s turn to step into the dance of the Marvel Studios series on Disney. Scheduled for Wednesday, November 24 on the platform, the series created by Jonathan Igla tells how the character played by Jeremy Renner is recovering from the events of Avengers: Endgame.
Badly battered after fighting Thanos with the superheroes and losing his dear friend Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Hawkeye will take Kate Bishop under his wing to train and pass the torch to. Her protégé is played by Hailee Steinfeld, actress and singer known for her roles in The Edge of Seventeen, Bumblebee, Spider-Man: New Generation and the Dickinson series.
Highly anticipated, Hakweye is finally revealed in a very first trailer that Jeremy Renner and Hailee Steinfeld had teased on their respective social networks. The first images show that Hawkeye is haunted by his past and that he will have to face the consequences of his actions during Endgame by leaving his family for the holiday season.
During his adventures, he will meet Kate Bishop, who will follow in his footsteps and learn to fight many enemies at his side. While the adventure series promises a lot of action, the trailer shows that there is plenty of room for comedy, all sprinkled with Christmas magic.
The rest of the cast of the series in 8 episodes, we also find Vera Farmiga, who plays Eleanor Bishop, Kate’s mother. On the side of the villains, we find Fra Fee, in the skin of Kazi alias the Clown, and Tony Dalton in the skin of Jacques Duquesne, alias Swordsman.
In addition, Zahn McClarnon plays William Lopez, one of Kingpin’s henchmen (the Kingpin), Alaqua Cox plays his daughter Maya Lopez, alias Echo, a hearing-impaired athlete, who practices martial arts and who is able to copy the movements of his opponents to perfection.
Finally, Florence Pugh will also be there and will resume her role of Yelena Belova, the “sister” of Black Widow, who had made her first appearance at Marvel in the film dedicated to the character of Scarlett Johansson, and whose appearance in the Black Widow’s post-credits scene will relate to the Hawkeye series.
