Pompeo called the body responsible for the awards ceremony of the Golden Globes every year because of its apparent lack of diversity. The HFPA had recently responded to the backlash, saying it intended to “work immediately on implementing a plan”. The lack of diversity of the HFPA has been widely criticized for years.
