Canceled last year, the Grand Prix de Wallonie is back on the calendar this year and takes place this Wednesday. The route is quite hilly and offers many small hills to climb, but everything could be played out during the final ascent to the Citadel of Namur. Very often, victory is decided in this bump between the best puncheurs present, and there will be many more this year: Ben Hermans (Israel Start-Up Nation), Greg Van Avermaet and Tony Gallopin (AG2R Citroën), Christophe Laporte (Cofidis) , Biniam Girmay (Intermarché-Wanty Gobert), Andreas Kron and Tim Wellens (Lotto Soudal), Tiesj Benoot (Team DSM), Alan Boileau (B&B Hotels), Warren Barguil (Arkéa-Samsic) and Julien Simon (TotalEnergies). The latter is also a former winner of the event, just like Wellens, Van Avermaet and Gallopin. The winner will succeed Krists Neilands, winner of the last edition in 2019. Race start at 12:12 pm, arrival expected around 5:20 pm.
