Christophe Laporte (Cofidis) signed his fourth success of the season by winning the Grand Prix de Wallonie this Wednesday! Despite numerous attacks throughout the race, it was a peloton of around thirty riders who presented themselves at the foot of the final bump which leads to the Citadel of Namur.
The victory was then played in a sprint between strong and Laporte showed himself much stronger than his opponents. He finally won ahead of Warren Barguil (Arkéa-Samsic) and Tosh Van der Sande (Lotto Soudal), while Dorian Godon (AG2R Citroën) finished 5th. Already winner of the Circuit de Wallonie earlier in the season, Laporte thus signs a second prestigious victory in this region.
