The Swiss cyclist Frei, silver medalist at the Olympic Games in Tokyo 2020 , won the women’s elite race in a photo finish and just barely crossed the finish line in front of Briton Evie Richards.

Olympic champion Jolanda Neff finished fifth and compatriot Linda Indergand fourth, as the Swiss woman was unable to repeat the podium suspension. which they enjoyed in Tokyo 2020.
