More about us.

We take a break on Memorial Day weekend and take time to remember those who sacrificed their lives for our freedoms. We also reconnect with friends and families, be it through small gatherings like a garden grill or a nightly campfire, or by planning a special activity on Memorial Day.

Either way, when planning your weekend now, you are probably thinking about which stores are open and which are closed on Memorial Day. And while you can pick up this groceries at any local grocery store or restaurant, if you are planning on taking in a few people it seems nowhere like Costco when it comes to buying in bulk.

Before you rely on Membership Warehouse Club, however, there is one very important question you should ask yourself …

Costco is one of the few major chains to be closed for Memorial Day. And with the summer in mind, we will point out that they are also one of the few to close their doors on Labor Day. Overall, Costco is closed seven days a year, which is pretty reasonable on the whole.

Just because Costco isn’t open on Memorial Day doesn’t mean you have to do a crazy shot to get all of the groceries and supplies you need asap for Monday, May 31st need. A number of other grocery stores and superstores, including Walmart and Target, will remain open on Memorial Day.
