Ellis Simms missed the League One play-off final after injuring himself on the last training kick yesterday.

The loaned Everton striker was able to lead the line at Wembley against Lincoln today, was disqualified due to injury.

Simms, who has scored ten goals for Blackpool since his loan in January, reportedly received penalties for the injury.

At the time of writing, Blackpool drew 1-1 after scoring withdrew a goal after just 48 seconds.

Simms will return to Everton this summer and has another year of contract.
