The case of serial killer Patrice Alègre in the Pink City reflected the former mayor of Toulouse Dominique Baudis, successor and son of Pierre Baudis, born in Decazeville. A documentary film on the media turmoil that overwhelmed him in 2003 will be shown on France 5 this Sunday.

In May 2003, the Alègre case broke out in Toulouse, a serial killer convicted of five murders and six rapes. It explodes in the media and splashes through the testimony of two prostitutes, the former mayor of Toulouse and then president of the CSA, Dominique Baudis. Two days later, he decided to speak to the 20 Heures de TF1 newspaper to put an end to the craziest rumors. Dominique Baudis was finally acquitted of justice in 2005.

This documentary, “The Baudis affair, the murderous rumor”, returns to the hype and, according to France Info, throws a harsh light on the dysfunctions that characterize these files.
