Watch all the action live as Tyson Fury’s brother takes on Jake Paul’s training partner in Cleveland

YouTube star Jake Paul and former UFC Champion Tyron Woodley will face off in a boxing match tonight, as the sport’s controversial crossover era continues, and the most anticipated undercard fight sees Tommy Fury confront Anthony Taylor.

Fury – brother of world heavyweight boxing champion Tyson – is a former Love Island contender and has so far amassed a professional record of 6-0 with four knockouts to his name. Meanwhile, Taylor – a training partner of Paul’s – lost his only pro contest, and the American lost him by knockout.

Fury has been embroiled in a war of words with Paul on social media and the Briton could be next for the American vlogger, if the pair win their respective contests at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland, Ohio tonight.

Follow the live updates below as Tommy Fury and Anthony Taylor face off in the boxing ring.

Fury immediately takes control of the center of the ring and works the jab followed by a few combos. He lands a lot as Taylor tries to close the gap and land a top right hook.

Fury landed two solid rights before taking a blow to the chin. This one shook him but he won the first round.

Taylor is the first to operate the ring. He looks pretty relaxed, I have to say.

The preliminary bout ended with Charles Conwell defeating Juan Carlos Rubio with a TKO save in the third round. Now is the time for the first fight of the night.

Fury needs to win and has to come out on top in this fight. Taylor has only had one professional fight in his career that he lost. Fury has a record of six wins in six fights. On paper, it shouldn’t be close.

There’s also a deeper storyline that could be built for Fury who recently traded beards with Paul. Fury has reportedly signed a two-fight deal with US broadcaster Showtime, which listed Paul on their network earlier this year, and may have a chance to fight the YouTuber afterwards.

“Jake Paul doesn’t come to mind once,” Fury said before his fight with Anthony Taylor. “I haven’t thought of him. I don’t think about him. The only man I have thought about and thought about during this entire training camp is Anthony Taylor.

“Sunday night I’ll do the job and whatever awaits us, we can think about it. Until then, this man is stunned with cold. ”

Tommy Fury makes his US undercard debut tonight as he fights Anthony Taylor on the undercard. Taylor is a veteran of MMA but has never held a title.

He was also a training partner for Jake Paul and used some of the YouTubers’ tactics to try and take out the Love Island star while preparing for the night fight.

The fight will be four rounds with a possible fight against Paul on the cards if Fury wins.

“Where he is now, he’s a six-fight rookie, it’s too early to tell. Until you become British, European, we are a long way from that. He is still learning. 22 years old, there is no rush with him. Good things will come to those who wait. He has everything, he is marketable, he can punch, he can box. If he can do what Tyson did, I don’t know, Tyson is a unicorn.

Mike Tyson, one of the greatest heavyweight boxers of all time, backed Jake Paul to beat Tyron Woodley tonight, adding that Woodley is on one last paycheck.

“Jake is going to beat him,” Tyson said confidently. “Woodley isn’t a puncher like that, that’s why he wants to fight this guy, to get his last pay, possibly.”

Tyron Woodley, meanwhile, is the latest UFC alum looking to avoid falling victim to former Disney Channel star Jake Paul.

He said: “The easiest fight of my career and the biggest purse of my career in one night.

“Basically, they brought me in to take out the trash. Can’t wait to shut up this bitch.

“It’s done for the culture, the whole MMA / boxing community, to get this guy out of combat sports.”

YouTuber Jake Paul claimed in preparation for the fight that a win tonight would finally earn him some respect in the boxing community.

He said: “Tyron is a good striker. He’s notorious for knocking people out, but I think when I beat Tyron people should respect my name.

“But that’s not what I’m here for, to be honest. I already know how good I am. I know this is going to be another easy fight.
