A muscular Delta 4 Heavy rocket is expected to take off from the southern California coast on Monday.

The United Launch Alliance rocket is scheduled to be launched from Vandenberg Air Force Base at 1:47 PM California Time.

The U.S. national security mission will mark the 386th launch of the Delta since 1960 and the 13th in the Delta VI Heavy configuration, making it an imposing sight on the launch pad.

According to the company, the Delta IV Heavy rocket features three liquid hydrogen and liquid oxygen engines that can produce a combined thrust of 2.1 million pounds. A Delta IV Heavy rocket boomed across the sky in August 2013 from Vandenberg Air Force Base, drawing in onlookers who wanted to witness its tremendous power.
