Bundy gave up four runs with three homers in the Angels’ 6–1 loss to the San Francisco Giants on Monday afternoon and raised his ERA for the season to 6.49.

Bundy is now 10 starts in the season and no longer looks like the pitcher who had a 3.29 ERA over 11 starts in the shortened 2020 season.

He had an ankle problem on two of his worst outings, but he said it was fixed before his previous outing.

He actually had a better day on Monday than on the hill.

Bundy scored for the first time since 2019, shooting a single into right field in the second inning shortly after the Angels gave him a 1-0 lead.

Bundy then returned to the hill for two more scoreless innings, carrying that narrow lead into the fourth before something went wrong.

Bundy went to Alex Dickerson and gave Evan Longoria a two-start homer on a sinker over the inner half of the plate. An inning later, LaMonte Wade Jr. also jumped on a first pitch sinker and hit him over the right field wall.

In the sixth, Bundy gave a third homer on a hanging slider to Mauricio Dubon and put the Angels in a 4-1 hole.

Meanwhile, the Angels Hitter only managed this single run in seven innings against veteran right-hander Johnny Cueto.
