Dubai, May 4, 2021 (WAM) – The Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2021 has once again confirmed that Dubai will host the world’s largest & personal travel tourism event since the pandemic broke out last year.

Now in its 28th year, the 2021 ATM will be operational from Sunday 16th to Wednesday 19th May at the Dubai World Trade Center (DWTC) while final preparations are being made.

“The theme of this year’s show is” A New Tomorrow for Travel and Tourism. “The focus is on the latest” COVID “news from around the world – vaccine launches, the current state of the industry and most importantly, what the future holds “said Claude Blanc, Portfolio Director of WTM& IBTM Portfolios.

ATM 2021 offers 67 conference sessions with a total of over 145 local, regional and international speakers. There is a global stage on site that includes a hotel summit, special buyers forums for Saudi Arabia and China, an international & investment conference (ITIC) for tourism, as well as an aviation panel and a special session on Gulf-Israel relations.

Other features this year include Travel Forward at ATM, which has world-class technology experts and industry-leading insights into the latest technologies and trends that will undoubtedly shape the future of travel and tourism.

A total of 62 countries are represented on the exhibition space this year, including the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Israel, Germany, Cyprus, Egypt, Indonesia, Malaysia, South Korea, the Maldives, the Philippines, Thailand, Mexico and the USA.

“This underscores the importance of ATMs connecting destinations to their source markets,” said Danielle Curtis, Middle East Exhibition Director, Arabian Travel Market.

The 2021 ATM will take place in nine halls in the Dubai World Trade Center. In accordance with existing density restrictions and social distancing guidelines and regulations, there will be 11,000 people in the halls at any one time.

The event will again play an important role in Arabian Travel Week, a 10-day festival of travel and tourism events taking place in Dubai and online. In addition to the personal event of the Arabian Travel Market, the following travel events are part of the Arabian Travel Week: Travel Forward travel technology exhibition, ARIVAL Dubai for the tours and attractions sector, GBTA’s half-day virtual business travel conference, ITIC’s Middle East Tourism Investment Summit, speed networking events for digital influencers and regionally oriented buyer groups such as China and of course ATM Virtual, the online edition of the ATM exhibition.

This year, for the first time in ATM history, a new hybrid format means a virtual ATM will run a week later to complement and reach a wider audience than ever before. ATM Virtual, which debuted last year, proved to be a huge success, attracting 12,000 online attendees from 140 countries.

“It is imperative that we include a virtual element that many industry professionals from around the world may not be able to attend in person every year, especially this year as travel restrictions change rapidly around the world,” said Curtis.

“Because of Dubai’s commitment to the highest health and safety standards and its effective city-wide management of the pandemic, it has been awarded the” Safe Travels “stamp by the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC),” added Curtis.

Dubai is one of the safest cities in the world that can be visited with a variety of precautionary measures to ensure the safety of tourists at every stage and at every touch point of their trip from arrival to departure.
