A dramatic traffic accident occurred during the night of Thursday 9 to Friday 10 September in TrÃ © lissac, at the gates of PÃ © rigueux (Dordogne). Three young people were in a Jaguar vehicle (with right-hand drive) which was traveling on avenue Michel-Grandou, in the direction of Perigueux-Trélissac. For some reason yet to be determined, the driver lost control of his car, which ended up against a tree, on the roof, in the Maurilloux area.
When the emergency services intervened, shortly before 5 a.m., they discovered three people on board. The 25-year-old driver, living in Sanilhac, died on the spot as firefighters tried to remove him from the vehicle.
Her rear passenger, aged 25, was injured and transported to the Perigueux hospital center. The front passenger, a 19-year-old young man, was distressed and evacuated in hospital in critical condition.
Avenue Michel-Grandou, a major entry point into Perigueux from the east of the agglomeration, was cut off at traffic all early morning. It was due to reopen around 9 a.m.
This accident occurred a few hours after another, in which a motorist was also deceased. It was at Lardin-Saint-Lazare, Thursday evening September 9.
