Fourth consecutive night of urban violence in Corbeil-Essonne. The city of Tarterets was once again the theater of tensions between residents and the police during the night from Monday to Tuesday, BFMTV learned from a police source.

In total, four police officers were injured. Four people were also arrested and taken into custody.

The incidents were materialized by jets of projectiles directed at police vehicles and damage from four cameras erected on pylons. Calm returned around 1:30 am.

The previous night, about fifteen garbage cans had been set on fire in the same neighborhood. At the same time, mortar fire and projectile throws were recorded in Grigny 2, a district of the eponymous town. Tensions spread to vry-Courcouronnes, where trash fires and mortar fire in the direction of police officers were noted.

These incidents could be linked to the arrest of a man suspected of urban rodeos last Thursday in the city of Tarterêts. The suspect’s brother, who came to a dispute with the police, was also arrested when the motorcycle was seized, according to our information.

The first tensions, involving the throwing of molotov cocktails, petanque balls and mortar fire, erupted between the police and residents of the neighborhood the same evening. No one was injured in these incidents, which occurred between 11 p.m. and midnight. No arrests were made.

Since Friday, between 50 and 60 CRS come every evening to reinforce the police forces.
