PARIS (Reuters) – Carrefour announced on Tuesday the departure of Alexandre Arnault and Nicolas Bazire from its board of directors after the exit of its capital from Agache, the holding company of businessman Bernard Arnault.

Bernard Arnault, CEO of LVMH, announced earlier this month the sale of his remaining shares in Carrefour in which he had been a shareholder for 14 years.

Carrefour also announced on Tuesday that it had decided to co-opt Arthur Sadoun, chairman of the management board of Publicis, as an independent member of the board.
