Paul Higham’s Game of the Day series is traveling to Spain while the two newcomers Rayo Vallecano and Mallorca compete on the outskirts of Madrid compete …

“Rayo Vallecano is unbeaten at home and has only conceded two goals in six games. While they aren’t top scorer, they should have enough to do the job.”

Our game des Day after Monday takes us to Spain, where surprisingly Rayo Vallecano tries to invade European countries if they can beat Mallorca.

The newly promoted duo had different starts in life in the top division, as Vallecano has settled in well again and now wants to try to bring European football to his suburb of Madrid – where it is constantly in the shadow of Real and Atletico.

Andoni Iraola’s side defeated Barcelona and lost just 2-1 to neighbors Real Madrid in their last three games.

Luis Garcia’s guests have had a harder time since their promotion and are among the La Liga draw specialists who naturally drew in the last high-profile clash between the clubs in 2013.

We’re continuing our Game of the Day series with a look at the big game on Monday night with some betting tips below, more on the teams, their stats and form, and a specially improved double from the Betfair dealers.

Only Real Sociedad, Real Madrid, Atletico and Sevilla Madrid, the current top four in Spain, have won more games this season than Rayo Vallecano’s six. Of their five defeats, only one went to a team below them in the table.

They are seventh in the game, but only one point behind Real Betis in fifth in the Europa League.

Vallecano has been consistently inconsistent this season and has not yet managed to string two identical results in consecutive games. And if this trend continues, you rule out losing for them as they lost to Real Madrid last time.

Former Monaco and Man Utd striker Radamel Falcao is their star man but the Colombian will miss this one due to a groin problem with Sergi Guardiola and Oscar Trejo leading the attack.

After Mallorca achieved promotion by finishing second in the Segunda last season, it struggled a little more than Rayo. So far he has only managed three wins and conceded six more goals than they have scored.

Coach Luis Garcia has bad memories of the game against Rayo as he lost six of his last seven, but his team has been much better fortunate as Mallorca have only lost two of their last 14 games, winning eight and drawing four has played.

However, Mallorca have a habit of winning at Vallecano, with five wins in their last eight visits to the outskirts of Madrid, after having previously played 18 games without a win at the venue. They are underdogs here, however, as Rayo looks like he’s going to make a splash this season.

Without Falcao, Rayo will be watching Sergi Guardiola to score the goals up front and he is one of the favorites to score here with 2.89 / 5 as he plays a bigger role in this game.

Midfielder Alvaro Garcia has scored goals from midfield, four of them this season and three of them in the last eight games.

The two men will bear the scorers’ burden, and with Mallorca conceding an average of two goals per game away, there is certainly a chance that they will both hit the net on Monday night.

So you are our two men we are helping to score for our Betfair OddsBoost, with the doubles increased to 7,513 / 2 to both score for our Game of the Day Special.

Look out for Rayo’s Oscar Trejo to assist at 4,216/5 and he has scored big and fast goals this season. He already has six in just 12 games, four of them in the last five, because the Argentine can become a supplier again here.

Rayo’s strong home form makes it worth supporting here and since they have only conceded twice in six games Mallorca will face them to find the net. A home win to zero is attractive, but only to use the possibility of 2: 1, then Vallecano and under 3.5 goals with an only slightly lower rate of 2.35 / 4 makes a safer game.

And as a final highlight, it should be noted that Mallorca has had major problems with the referees lately, as four players have been sent off in the last four games.

It is 3.613 / 5 for a red card in this game and 6.05 / 1 for a Mallorca man who receives his marching orders.
