ASSE does not want to let Jean-Philippe Krasso slip away at USL Dunkirk in Ligue 2. Claude Puel has a very obvious reason. He needs a decisive forward and until he has one he won’t let the Ivorian go.
ASSE do not have the means to strengthen themselves this summer and are doing everything possible to avoid losing players, especially in positions where Claude Puel’s team is not sufficiently supplied. This is why the AS Saint-Étienne coach has hesitated ever since to let Jean-Philippe Krasso go for lack of playing time for the Greens. According to information from the daily Le Progrès, the Stéphanois coach is blocking the Ivorian striker for the moment, because he has not found a center forward to replace him numerically in his squad.
The player’s representatives have nevertheless reached an agreement with USL Dunkirk in Ligue 2 for the loan of their colt. They are indeed in favor of the departure of Jean-Philippe Krasso from ASSE, in order to allow him to play regularly. “His entourage is yearning for a new loan so that he can harden himself as he had been able to do at Le Mans,” the source confirmed.
As a reminder, the Ivorian was loaned to Le Mans SC during the second half of last season (between January and June 2021). He had taken part in 14 league games for 5 goals scored and an assist offered. Returning from Le Mans, Jean-Philippe Krasso had a good summer preparation with the Greens. However, it is not one of Claude Puel’s first choices. He played 9 minutes against LOSC (1-1) and 20 minutes against OM on Saturday (1-3), coming off the sidelines. Under contract until June 2023, the native of Stuttgart is worth € 900,000 on the transfer market.
