LFAUIT – Season 16 of France Has Incredible Talent ended Wednesday, December 22 on M6. The Choir of Saint-Cyr won after another majestic performance.

During this live evening, during which viewers could vote by SMS, the military choir offered a medley that ended with a revisited Marseillaise (see video below).

After its victory, the choir announced that it will donate the sum of 100,000 euros won to associations supporting the wounded and families of soldiers who died for France.

In total, the Choir of Saint-Cyr is made up of 40 student choir singers from the military school aged 20 to 24. The choirmaster is Officer Cadet Paul, 20. This passionate about music and singing is at the origin of its creation, at the beginning of the year.

“I spoke about my project with four cadets from my class (…) They immediately joined and in fact all four became head of the desk. Then, we opened up to volunteering for the choristers, ”he explained to Ouest-France in mid-November, stressing that finding a cohesion of 40 had been fairly easy thanks to the military rigor to which they are all used. Especially since the challenge was great since some singers had no concept in singing before this experience.

During their performance on November 17, with their interpretation of Ivory Tears, a song about military sacrifice through the eyes of a child who evokes the death of his father, the choristers made Karine Le Marchand cry, as we can see it again in the video below.
