An electrical transformer in the electricity transmission network caught fire in the early afternoon in Châteaurenard. No injuries but power cuts and many firefighters deployed.
The fire broke out around 3 p.m. this Friday, October 29 in Châteaurenard in an RTE electrical transformer. 22 vehicles and 47 firefighters were on site. The current was cut for one hour in the sectors of Chateaurenard, Cabannes and Eyragues.
The fire produced thick smoke. The fire is fixed but not completely extinguished, power cuts are to be expected in the evening of Friday. No casualties were reported.
