Firefighters put out a garage fire in the Aubes district in Montpellier. A fire had started on the ground floor around 2 p.m. this Monday behind the Mermoz high school.

A fire broke out in the underground car park of a building at 257 Rue Moulin de Sémalen in the Aubes district in Montpellier. It is a garage of 30 m2 on the ground floor which caught fire. The firefighters had to intervene quickly because the flames threatened an adjoining garage in which there is a gas boiler. The fire was finally extinguished with three LDVs, Variable Flow Lances.

The circulation of cars is blocked, a security perimeter has been established. The national and municipal police are on the scene pending the intervention of an engineer from the City of Montpellier to analyze the wall. A wall ten meters long and two meters high that threatens to fall.
